Karen is a long-time resident (22 years) of Arcadia. During this time, she has witnessed the growth of the city over the years and believes in the strength of its community. She is an active member of Arcadia High School, PTSA and the City of Arcadia Police Commission. Karen is an organizational development consultant for health care organizations and the CEO of the Law Offices of Kelvin Lee. She has many professional years of experience, working for the Federal Government and non-profit organizations in various roles. These include the U.S Department of Defense, Homeland Security, Immigration Department, AZ Biltmore Hotel, Kaiser Permanente, Blue Shield of California, Scan Health Plan to name a few.
Karen has a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and master’s degree in Organizational Development Psychology from the California School of Psychology, Alliant University. She is fluent in Korean which makes her an entirely bilingual and bicultural individual. Evergreen Baptist Church of Los Angeles is the place of worship for Karen and her family. She enjoys traveling and exploring various ethnic foods. Karen and her husband, Kelvin play tennis on a regular basis and love discussing current events with their son, Robinson, who is a rising senior at Arcadia High School. Kelvin is a retired Administrative Law Judge from the State of CA, Department of Social Services, and a UCLA Law School graduate. Karen and Kelvin currently operate a law practice in San Marino which serves clients in the legal areas of Social Security Disability, Public Health Benefits and Medi-Cal Long Term Care Planning.
